Traditional German Beer Stein – Ceramic body with Metal Lid – Bavaria – 24 cm
A classic example of German craftsmanship: a imposing beer stein (or pitcher) made of glazed ceramic with the traditional Bavarian crest (Bayern). The item is topped with a distinctive hinged metal lid (aluminum/alloy), originally designed to keep the beverage temperature and protect its aroma.
The design features rich raised decorations on both the upper part and the base, with a two-tone finish alternating cream and dark brown, highlighting the central multicolored shield supported by the rampant lions.
