Icaro Rodi - Table service (24) - Ceramic - IKARO RODI

Rare set of Greek ceramic from the island of Rhodes. This ceramic bowl is from the original ICARO RODI manufacture (Industrie Ceramiche Artistiche Rodio ~ Orientali), active from 1929 to 1950. Information on ICARO RODI is limited. Most ICARO pieces are found in Greek and Italian museums or private collections. This set is from the 1930s and consists of 24 pieces. Some have small chipping (6), one plate has been repaired and the others are perfect (17). They are original examples from the mid-1930s. . Additional note: ICARO~RODI was the original name of the ceramic factory founded by Italians during the occupation of Rhodes in the late 1920s. Subsequently it operated under the names Icaros and Ikaros from 1950 to the 1980s, when the ceramic factory activity was closed.

24-piece ICARO RODI table set, of which 6 chipped, 1 repaired and 16 perfect, 6 bowls of 13 cm diameter, 12 plates of 20 cm diameter, 1 vase 8 cm in diameter, 2 plates 26 cm diameter, 1 wide plate 30 cm and 1 salad bowl 28 cm. all decorated with floral patterns from the 1930s.
