Two antique Belgian glass apothecary bottles dating from circa 1850–1900, with original faceted stoppers and labels Denolin and Ovarinum, each about 15 cm tall and 6 cm in diameter, in good condition with subtle signs of age.
Description from the seller
Antique apothecary bottles with original stoppers and contents – “Denolin” & “Ovarinum” – Belgium ca. 1900 – rare duo
Two authentic apothecary bottles from Belgium, dating around 1900, with an appearance that you rarely see in full today.
What makes this set special are the original cut glass stoppers whose knop is filled with warm orange granules. That detail gives them character and also points to a more luxurious version as used in pharmacies in the past.
The labels are still present and tell their own story: “Denolin” and “Ovarinum,” old pharmaceutical preparations from a time when medicines were still prepared locally by the pharmacist. In particular, “Ovarinum” refers to early hormonal applications – today historically interesting and decoratively sought after.
Beautiful as a collection piece, but also perfect as a decorative item in an interior with character.
The bottles are in good antique condition, with normal signs of aging. The labels show wear, which adds to the authenticity. Both stoppers are present
