Description from the seller
At auction we present a classic of professional elegance: the Montblanc Meisterstück Classique ballpoint pen (model 164). This writing instrument, crafted in the famed black premium resin with yellow-gold plated fittings, remains one of the most iconic and coveted items for those seeking authority and style on their desk.
The design is unmistakably that of the Hamburg house, with the three central rings bearing the crisp engraving "MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTÜCK" and the white star emblem crowning the cap. The instrument adopts the proven twist mechanism for extending the tip, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
Regarding its condition, the object presents in overall good shape, though bearing the signs of a lived history that attest to its vintage originality. As transparently documented in the macro photographs, two specific aesthetic defects are noted: the presence of oxidation/corrosion specks on the gold-plated tip (cone) and a crack in the resin at the terminal part of the barrel (opposite side to the tip).
Despite these signs of time, the pen maintains its functionality and its timeless charm.
