Longwy - Dish - Earthenware

Beautiful rectangular platter with side handles in Longwy faience, the famous French manufactory. This cake dish features the floral pattern number 5685, characterized by stylized lotus and peony flowers in shades of pink, white and green, accented with touches of yellow and orange, all on a deep turquoise blue background.
Technique: Hand-painted cloisonné enamels.
Markings: Factory mark on the back "Décoré à la main - Emaux de Longwy - France", with shape number 3351 and pattern 5685. Artist's initials present.
Condition: Very good condition. The colors have remained very fresh and vivid. Minor natural glaze crazing (crackling), characteristic of Longwy's old faience. No chips or restorations.
