No visible cracks. New boxwood set up, new strings. Some tears and wears to golden amber varnish.
Description:
Good quality straight high grained spruce was chosen for the top, and the maple of the two pieces back with beautiful irregular grain is softly flamed. Matched sides and scroll. The purfling is a tasteful work of good craftsmanship. The whole length of the violin is 591 mm and the back 363 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 165 mm; middle bouts: 114 mm; lower bouts: 203 mm. Full size. The sound is very deep, rich, warm and powerful.
