Ornate historicist Roman glass – Enamelled floral decoration
An elegant and elaborately designed grand glass 'Roman' made of amber-colored glass. The object impresses with its multi-section knob (stem with two large, applied-knob decorated hollow balusters) and a rich, hand-painted enamel decoration. The cup features fine floral motifs and white dot borders, typical for refined Historicism. An exquisite collectible for lovers of classical European glass art.
• Manufacturer: In the style of Theresienthal or Moser, Karlsbad (not signed).
• Country of origin: Germany / Bohemia.
• Year of appearance: ca. 1880–1900.
• Period: Historicism (Gründerzeit).
• Style: Neo-Renaissance / Old German.
• Technique: Mouth-blown glass, amber-colored throughout, stem with hand-blown elements and applied knops. Hand-painted with polychrome enamel and gold staffage.
