I see the city as a large body that breathes, a body in growth, in transformation and I am interested in capturing its signs, observing its form, like a doctor who investigates the transformations of the human body. I constantly seek every point of view, as if the city were a labyrinth and the gaze sought a point of penetration.
In the labyrinth one must move around calmly and slowly in order not to be overwhelmed.
Basilico orients himself by following the thread of careful observation and a contemplative attitude free from any sentimentality.
