Oriental Jambiya dagger with richly decorated sheath – traditional collectible

Description:
Extraordinary oriental dagger in the typical curved shape of a so-called Jambiya. This traditional object comes from the Arab world, presumably Yemen or Oman, and is characterized by its distinctive form as well as the elaborate decoration.

The sheath is richly decorated with fine floral and geometric patterns as well as pierced ornaments. The grip also shows detailed metalwork with symmetric embellishments and three-dimensional elements. Especially noticeable is the characteristic crescent-shaped form of the sheath and the delicate metal applications.

The blade is slightly curved and sits firmly in the sheath. Age-related patina and signs of use underscore the authenticity and the historical character of this piece.
