In this work, the figure emerges in a suspended state — between the visible and the intangible, between presence and memory. The gaze, fixed yet distant, suggests a displaced consciousness, as if it inhabited simultaneously the present moment and an echo of itself.

The halo, subtly inscribed, does not claim holiness, but rather a symbolic amplification of existence: a spiritual white noise that reverberates in the pictorial space. Around it, the dotted texture evokes systems of reproduction and fragmentation — recalling both the mechanical logic of the printed image and the digital decomposition of identity.

There is a constant tension between softness and noise, between technical control and spontaneous gesture. The roughest marks interrupt the smoothness of the skin, breaking the illusion and exposing the process — like glitches in a transmission.

“Presence Echo” explores the idea of identity as something never truly fixed, but rather a continuous, distorted and repeated reflection over time. We do not see just a figure — we see the trace of its existence.

Hione is a visual artist from Porto who, since 2013, has used graffiti as his main form of expression. With a visual language marked by vibrant colors and defined shapes, his work reflects a strong connection to urban culture. Throughout his career, he has developed a unique style that fuses graffiti, contemporary art, illustration and graphic design. He presents his works in public and private contexts, aiming to provoke reflection and inspire. Today he continues to explore new figurative approaches and to deepen the impact of his art on the space around him.
