Valentin Prévot's work is realistic and figurative. Through his drawings and paintings, he conducts a process of political and identitarian research on his history as well as that of his family. His current artistic work aims to pay homage but also to perpetuate his ideas and his journey, to anchor them in time.
With the help of portraits, paintings/drawings as well as the willingness to understand and appropriate this history, Valentin has been working for several months now on a series of “graphic objects” and installations intended to complete this archive backdrop, to add his perspective, his sensitivity and his voice as an artist.
Some of his works are inspired by Schiele, Kokoschka but also German expressionists like Dix and Grosz. The central theme of his work is the questions of transmissions and intergenerational traumas.
