Labelled Gaetano Antoniazzi 4/4 - - Violin - Unknown

Offered for auction is a fine full-size master violin, ideal for a professional musician or a discerning collector. The label reads: “Gaetano Antoniazzi fece Milano 1875.” This instrument stands out for both its remarkable tonal qualities and its refined, elegant appearance. The back is crafted from two pieces of maple with a soft, subtle flame and measures 359 mm. The total length of the violin is 593 mm. Dimensions: upper bouts 164 mm, middle bouts 115 mm, lower bouts 204 mm (full size). The top is made of straight, medium to fine-grained spruce. It is finished in a warm golden-brown varnish that shows light, age-related wear, adding to the instrument’s authentic character and beautiful natural patina. The violin is in good used condition, with no cracks. It is fitted with a quality rosewood and ebony setup, and comes with a new bridge and new strings, ready to play. A beautifully made instrument with elegant lines, fine attention to detail, and high-quality tonewoods throughout. The sound is powerful, warm, and well-balanced, with a sweet, rich tone and excellent projection. Worldwide insured shipping available. Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind
