The Macallan 12 Years Double Cask is known as the ideal drink to launch with the brand's popular Double Cask range. The name of this whiskey refers to its maturation in two cask types, which further enriches its character. This is a combination of American and European oak, with some of the casks used having been filled with Oloroso sherry for a short time. Together this results in a harmonious and balanced character.

The scent is creamy and full: butterscotch, toffee apple, orange, vanilla and fresh oak are present in it. On the palate, the Macallan 12 Years Double Cask is wonderfully balanced between sweet notes and herbs. Present are honey, raisins, caramel and cinnamon. The finish is long, warming and sweet, with hints of oak providing a pleasant balance.
