Ditmar Urbach - Vase - Ceramic, Porcelain

Ditmar Urbach was known for his vibrant, often hand-painted ceramics and the distinctive Art Deco designs of the 1930s. In 1938 the Nazis took the company from its Jewish owners and it became part of Ostmark-Ceramic. In 1945 the factory was nationalized.
From 1989 the company continued under the name Sanvit Teplice.

Antique ceramic pitcher – Ditmar Urbach – Bohemia (Czechoslovakia) – ca. 1925–1935

Elegant antique ceramic pitcher produced by the renowned Bohemian manufacturer Ditmar Urbach, active in Teplitz (now Czech Republic). This type of dinnerware belongs to the interwar production and is recognizable by its characteristic floral decoration and the factory stamp on the underside.

Good antique condition with signs of use appropriate for its age. Light crazing in the glaze and discolorations on the underside.
