Pitcher (2) - Ceramic - Decorative Ewers(cherub)

Vintage Pair of Italian Hand-Painted Pink Ceramic Ewers/Pitchers with Silver-Plated Mounts & Cherub Medallions Stunning matching pair of pink glazed ceramic pitchers (decorative ewers), featuring ornate silver-plated handles, flared spouts, and detailed bases with garland motifs. Each body displays a raised, colorful rococo-style medallion with a playful “cherub (putti)” — one holding a bird amid flowers, the other surrounded by blooms. Clearly marked on the silver-plated bases: “RIPROD. VIETATA C.C. ART. 2598” (Italian for “Reproduction Prohibited” and the law nr.). “HAND PAINTED” “MADE IN ITALY” “Decorative crowned heraldic shield with laurel wreaths” (a common Italian trade mark on electroplated wares from the 1960s-1970s). These are authentic mid-20th century Italian decorative pieces (circa 1960s–1970s), produced in a popular style often featuring applied relief and hand-painted details combined with metal mounts. Condition: Good vintage decorative condition with vibrant glossy pink glaze and intact raised cherub details, but no corks. Some wear to the plating (tarnish/scratches) is consistent with age and adds authentic character. No chips or cracks noted. These are functional wine/liqueur decanters with a screw mechanism in the metal neck designed to hold a cork. The original cork has worn away and been removed, leaving only the decorative metal screw piece. These corks are easily replaceable. Dimensions: 29 x 15 x 13 cm each Weight: 1180 grams each(Total: 2360g) Perfect as a decorative display pair for a mantel, shelf, or sideboard — ideal for collectors of Italian ceramics, cherub motifs, or Victorian/rococo revival styles. Origin: Hand-painted in Tuscany Italy Era: 1960s–1970s Catching set with clear maker markings Buyer note: All items are carefully inspected, accurately photographed from multiple angles, and professionally packed with extra protection before shipping. Buyers are kindly requested to make a short video of the package opening and then inspect the item promptly. Please contact me with clear photos or video (including packaging) if any issue arises.
