Beautiful ceramic wall plaque reproducing the Virgin Mary with Child Jesus, in the Della Robbia style.
Italian production from Deruta by the La Giara workshop.
In the heart of Umbria, a few kilometers from Assisi, in the 1970s, the artistry present in Deruta involved Luciano and Alberto, who knew each other and together were able to gain significant experience in the ceramics sector. The talents of one complement the other, and their great passion for this work leads them to open in 1972 a small workshop they call “La Giara” (Luciano-Alberto GIAnnoni-RAnieri).
The strong Catholic roots push the company to produce sacred-religious articles and, with quality and seriousness, it soon reaches levels that now allow it to serve a clientele that rewards and honors it.
La Giara, while specialized in producing reliefs in the Della Robbia style, sacred statues and church articles, also continues to produce classic Deruta artistic objects, functional and ornamental items of various kinds.
