The full image of the wall represents the passage of the work from the exterior wall to the interior space of buildings. What is born on the street, in the urban public context, is transferred inside buildings, houses or museums, completely changing the environment and meaning. In this case, the most interesting wall corner is selected and cut from the exterior intervention by the street artist. The fragment is then detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once cut, this piece of wall can be transported and placed indoors: in homes, in buildings, in museums or in other structures. In this way the artwork changes environment and function, moving from the public and everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and exhibited as a true artistic object. All of this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum setting.
