Kabuff Welle is an exclusive lamp created for Catawiki, part of a strictly limited series of only 100 pieces. This is lamp number 4 of the edition. It is conceived as a collectible design object, not as a decorative accessory.

The project draws direct inspiration from the sinuous, iconic forms of the Ultrafragola mirror by Ettore Sottsass. Those flowing curves are reinterpreted through wood, translating a radical design language into a warmer, more tactile and materially honest expression.

Crafted from premium birch wood, Kabuff Welle embraces a living material that reacts to light, time, and use. The choice of birch is deliberate: its fine grain and natural luminosity enhance both the structure and the light emitted. Because wood is inherently alive, each lamp presents subtle, unrepeatable variations in texture and tone. Every piece is therefore an unicum, even within a numbered limited edition.

Beyond illumination, Kabuff Welle functions as a shadow lamp. Light filters through its sinuous structure, generating soft rhythms of light and shadow that extend into the surrounding space. It does not simply light a room; it shapes it, creating an intimate atmosphere meant to be inhabited rather than merely observed.

Design, cutting, finishing, and assembly are executed with extreme care and a strong artisanal approach. Each lamp is individually assembled by hand, with constant attention to proportions, balance, and surface quality. This is intentional, slow production, where precision serves the idea rather than efficiency.

Kabuff Welle is intended for collectors who recognize luxury in rarity, material depth, and rigorous craftsmanship, not in excess.
