Story of the scarf:
Cuirs du désert... The words draw dunes to infinity, the horizon that unites sky and earth and recedes at the speed of our steps. The words suggest the scent of the desert, the smell of leathers burned by the sun... At the center a Tuareg on his dromedary, around him satchels, pouches and wallets, mute companions of his journeys. Working the leather, carving it, perforating it, tinting it, cutting it out, painting it... The skins of goats and camels are the support of one of the Sahara peoples' most varied crafts, Berbers of the Hoggar, or nomads of the Gao region. This square seals the alliance of leather and silk, Hermès’ preferred materials.
