Rare Antique Art Nouveau Tray - Nyon (B.M.F.) - Ceramic and Metal Pierced
Description:
Splendid early 1900s tray, a refined example of the Art Nouveau (Liberty) style. The central ceramic plate is decorated with a delicate hand-painted floral motif (a white cyclamen) on a blue and white softly shaded background.
The tray is embellished with a rich pierced metal frame with volute motifs, typical of the period.
Producer: Bonnant, Morel & Faure (B.M.F.), Nyon, Switzerland.
Mark: Signature on the back with pelican logo and serial numbers engraved.
Period: circa 1890 - 1920.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The ceramic is intact with no evident crazing; the metal displays a natural patina of time that attests its authenticity.
