Stained glass window - 1920-1930 - stained glass panel

Beautiful set of original stained-glass panels from circa 1920, executed in a clean and timeless geometric design. These panels breathe the atmosphere of early Art Deco and show clear influences from the Amsterdam School, where form, rhythm, and color form a strong unity.

The composition consists of rectangular and linear planes, with a beautiful play of warm amber glass, clear glass, and accents in red and blue-gray. The clean outlines and rhythmic pattern give a balanced and modern appearance, surprisingly well suited to both classic and contemporary interiors.

Stained glass like this was widely used in the early 20th century for sidelights, interior doors, and house windows. It served not only as a decorative element but also to filter light in a atmospheric way. When light passes through the panels, the colors come beautifully to life and a warm, lively effect arises.

The panels are handmade and set in lead profiles, as was customary in this period. The slight irregularities and signs of use contribute to the authentic character. One small pane shows a crack but is not disruptive to the overall piece, in keeping with the age and visible in the detail photos.
