Description from the seller
Silver content information: No clear or legible silver hallmark was found on the item. The silver was tested with a Thermo Scientific Niton XL2 XRF Analyzer. The XRF test result shows Ag 80.368%, approximately 803/1000 silver, which is high-grade silver according to the standard of more than 800. Test report and testing images are included in the photos.
This red carnelian intaglio ornament centers on a scene of three figures standing around an altar. The figures, with their elongated forms, hold staffs and ritual implements, as if taking part in a solemn and mysterious ceremonial rite. Dotted motifs and star-like symbols are scattered throughout the composition, reinforcing a sense of celestial imagery and sacred space while lending the work the atmosphere of classical religious art. The central altar corresponds closely with the gestures of the figures, creating a vivid narrative and an ordered composition. Its lines are simple yet rhythmic, combining symbolic resonance with decorative elegance. Such imagery is more than mere ornamentation; it is closer to an expression of ancient belief and ritual. The intaglio technique itself also gives the piece a dual value, both as an object of appreciation and as a functional seal.
