Montblanc Writers Edition Alexandre Dumas fountain pen, with a resin marbled amber-brown body and gold-plated clip, rings and cone, 13 cm long and 1.3 cm in diameter, serial 07065/16000 N, made in Germany in the 2000–2010 period, and in good used condition with all functions in working order.
Description from the seller
The Montblanc Writers Edition Alexandre Dumas pen (1996) is presented in overall very good condition, showing an excellent level of preservation appropriate for a carefully maintained collectible piece.
The cap in polished black resin retains a deep, uniform shine, with extremely light micro-scratches only visible upon close inspection and under direct light, typical of occasional use and the passage of time. No dents, cracks, or material losses are evident.
The marbled resin barrel preserves its original amber and brown tones, with a well-defined grain and no discolorations, cracks, or structural marks. The surface presents a clean, even finish, with no signs of significant wear.
The gold-plated elements — clip, rings, and shoulder — are in very good condition, with bright gold plating and no visible losses. The clip perfectly preserves its decorative relief, including the portrait of Alexandre Dumas, with well-defined edges.
The Montblanc star on the cap top is complete, centered, and undamaged.
The engraved numbering and the manufacturing marks remain crisp and perfectly legible.
The turning mechanism operates smoothly and precisely, deploying and retracting the nib correctly.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved specimen, ideal both for a demanding collector and for occasional use, notable for its excellent aesthetic presence and proper functionality.
