Flag set of the Czech Republic and Poland
1. Flag of the Czech Republic is made of synthetic flag material, in good condition. The current flag of the Czech Republic originated in 1920, when the country was still part of Czechoslovakia.
The original flag consisted only of two horizontal stripes: white (top) and red (bottom). These colors come from the coat of arms of Bohemia and had been used for centuries.
To avoid confusion with the Polish flag, a blue triangle was added to the left side. This color stands for Moravia and also symbolizes Slavic unity.
