Clock - Smiths Enfield - Bakelite - 1960-1970

You are looking at a perfectly preserved dark-brown bakelite mantel clock of English manufacture. It is from the Smiths Enfield firm. It began in 1932 as Smiths and, in the midst of World War II, merged into Smiths Enfield. The clock is about 70 years old, but the word “perfect” sits well with both the case and the movement. Therefore there are no chips, scratches, dents, or other issues. The gong can be heard on every full and half hour, but can also be easily switched off if desired. Both doors close nicely, and of course the pendulum and key are present. It is an 8-day movement, and the clock has been running in-house for a long time to full satisfaction.
