Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Fountain pen, model Simplo Nº 2, made in Germany in the second half of the 20th century, constructed in resin/polyester.
Description from the seller
A0000004349
The pen is presented in an excellent overall preserved condition, especially notable considering its age and its nature as a piece from the 1920s–1930s.
The body and cap in black ebonite retain a deep and uniform shine, with an elegant patina the result of time. No cracks or deformations are observed, maintaining a solid and well-preserved structure. The engravings, including the characteristic “Montblanc Simplo”, remain visible and legible, which adds collectible value.
The gold clip shows light, uniform wear, with partial loss of the plating in line with age, contributing authenticity without compromising its aesthetics or functionality.
The 14-karat gold nib is in very good condition, well aligned and without visible deformations. It retains its original geometry and promises a smooth writing experience, with the typical flexible character of these historical pieces.
The safety mechanism is complete, with the mechanism present and without signs of aggressive alteration. As is usual with this type of fountain pen, it shows signs of use consistent with its age, not affecting its integrity.
Overall, it is a very well-preserved piece, with an excellent balance between originality, functionality and aesthetic presence, ideal for both collection and occasional use.
Conservation recommendations
Use quality fountain pen inks
Avoid pigmented inks
Clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while
Dry before storing
Store in a dry place with no direct light or extreme temperatures
Handle the system gently
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper conservation.
Happy bidding!
