Magnificent knife in very good condition.
The two rounded ends finishing in a point were designed to wound or stab the throwing knife.
- All my forged iron objects have been cleaned by me by electrolysis, a process that does not affect the iron but removes the oxidation due to moisture (rust).
African ethnic groups knew the ravages of rust on their warrior objects and regalia. To counter this phenomenon, they applied animal fat to them.
Furthermore, it is important to distinguish between an industrially cut sheet and forged iron ''hammered'' in fusion by a blacksmith. It is by gently pinching the metal and moving along its entire length that you will feel slight dings. These will confirm the object's authenticity and the smith's intervention.
