Elegant gold pendant made from an authentic British one-pound coin (Sovereign) minted in 1874, during Queen Victoria's reign.
The coin bears on the obverse the profile of Queen Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA D G BRITT REG, while on the reverse it depicts Saint George slaying the dragon, the famous engraving by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1874 visible at the bottom.
The coin is original and historic, subsequently mounted as a pendant with a simple and functional setting, probably made for personal use.
The piece presents itself as an antique jewelry item, ideal for both coin-collecting enthusiasts of mounted coins and anyone seeking a gold piece with strong historical value.
