Description from the seller

Professional academic sculpture, entirely handmade by professional artisans. A piece from a museum plaster cast collection. The creation has ancient origins and is carried out by artists in the sculptural field, made with materials such as scagliola and Carrara marble powder.

Antinous (circa 110–130 AD), a young man of extraordinary beauty originating from Bithynia, was the companion of Emperor Hadrian, with whom he formed a deep bond. He tragically died by drowning in the Nile, an event that led Hadrian to deify him, establish a cult in his honor, and found the city of Antinopolis. Antinous became a symbol of ideal beauty and immortality, celebrated through statues and monuments that depict him with divine features, combining Greek, Roman, and Egyptian influences.

The item will be packed by a shipping-specialist company. This guarantees that the packaging will be carried out professionally and efficiently, ensuring maximum protection during transport.
