Stoneware vase designed by Gunnar Nylund for the Swedish manufacturer Rörstrand. The Aro model features a low and wide form, elegant and well balanced, typical of mid-century Scandinavian design. The speckled blue glaze shows subtle tonal variations, giving depth and character to the piece.

Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was one of Rörstrand’s most influential designers of the 20th century. As artistic director from the 1930s onward, he developed innovative ceramics characterized by organic forms and experimental glazes, now highly sought after by collectors of Scandinavian ceramics.
