Description from the seller

This rare original Wrangler advertisement print dating from the 1980s represents a piece of twentieth-century visual marketing history. The artwork depicts a giraffe elegantly wearing a blue denim jacket with a metal zipper prominently in the foreground, while holding delicate pastel-colored flowers between its lips. The illustration is signed in the lower right corner by the artist Saul Fastre, whose distinctive style managed to unite surrealism with the commercial promotion of denim. The print bears historical brand references with the Greensboro headquarters mention and production details by Hawthornes of Nottingham Limited in England. The dimensions of the piece are 46 centimeters by 56 centimeters including the frame. Regarding its condition, the item shows evident signs of time that confirm its authenticity and era. Clearly visible are numerous brown foxing spots distributed across most of the paper surface, caused by natural oxidation and exposure over decades. There is also a significant moisture stain and an amber-colored tide line running along the entire bottom margin of the print, extending upward for several centimeters. These defects, due to aging of the materials, have been photographed in detail and do not compromise the readability of the main figure, but rather enhance its original vintage charm. This 1980s advertising campaign is remembered for revolutionizing the Wrangler brand image, associating the durability of denim with natural settings and exotic animals in an ironic and artistic manner.
