Description from the seller
Sergio Bustamante (1949)
Decorative sculpture in the shape of a pumpkin with butterflies
Fascinating decorative sculpture signed Sergio Bustamante, a Mexican artist known for his poetic and surreal creations, often inspired by the natural and fantastical world.
The work depicts a large stylized pumpkin, on which numerous multicolored butterflies rest, crafted with great attention to detail. The surface features a refined decoration in tones of green and blue, with subtle gradients and organic motifs that confer depth and movement to the whole.
The butterflies, recurring elements in the artist's work, are modeled in relief and enriched with hand-painted details, creating a vibrant and decorative effect. The composition, at once playful and elegant, is perfectly representative of Bustamante's artistic language.
The artist's signature is present on the side.
A piece with strong decorative impact, ideal for collectors or to enrich an interior with an original and distinctive piece.
Dimensions:
Diameter about 22 cm
Conditions:
Good overall condition. A small line is noticeable corresponding to a leaf element (likely from firing or slight material tension), with no impact on the stability of the piece. Subtle signs of time, small imperfections and defects.
Shipping:
The work will be prepared and packed with the utmost care using professional materials.
Please note, however, that postal shipping is not the ideal solution for artworks or fragile items. We cannot guarantee the absence of damage during transport, particularly for works with delicate elements.
Shipments to the European Union and internationally may take longer and are subject to duties, VAT, and import costs, entirely at the purchaser's expense.
In case of return of the goods, all incidental expenses will be borne by the buyer.
Pickup in Geneva is highly recommended.
