Beautiful etching and copperplate engraving by Walter Valentini, an early exemplar; these pieces are sought after.

Like the plates, the graphic works are not flat surfaces either: with a refined dry intaglio technique, Valentini presses the paper so that the drawing remains raised above the plane. The subjects of these engravings are the same as those of the plates; only the technique varies: it ranges from aquatint to etching to drypoint.
