Description from the seller
Beautiful vintage Andreas Daub snake necklace – Amerikaner Doublé
Description:
Are you looking for a unique piece of jewelry with class? This gorgeous vintage "Serpent" necklace is truly a collector's item. It is a design by the renowned German goldsmith Andreas Daub (A*U) from Pforzheim, probably from the 1960s.
Features:
Marks: Fully marked with "AM. DBL" (Amerikaner Doublé) and the well-known Andreas Daub factory mark (A*U).
Material: High-quality Amerikaner Doublé (rolled gold). This means a very thick gold layer that retains its shine for decades, unlike modern gold-plated jewelry.
Design: A smooth gold-colored mesh band with a detailed snake head and tail. The head features sparkling ruby-red eyes.
Wear: The necklace is adjustable thanks to the rings at the end, making it wearable as a chic choker or as a longer lariat-style necklace.
Condition: In excellent vintage condition. The gold layer is still beautifully even and glossy throughout.
Length: with the clasp closed it is 24 cm, so the neck length is about 40 cm
A timeless and elegant piece that perfectly fits both a modern and a classical look.
