Description from the seller
Luz de Sevilla is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work unfolds like a luminous breath between walls of intense color. Two blue doors, opened wide, frame a white courtyard where light falls with firm clarity and draws fresh shadows on the floor. The contrast between the vibrant red of the interior walls and the clarity of the exterior creates a warm tension, deeply Mediterranean, almost Andalusian in its pulse.
In the foreground, two wooden chairs face each other in silence around a small round table. On it, a bowl of oranges concentrates the sun in its simplest form: color, volume, stillness. It is an invitation to pause, to inhabit that suspended moment where nothing happens and, yet, everything is filled with presence.
In the background, the aligned pots and the windows with blue shutters reinforce the sense of everyday order, of serene domestic life. The vegetation softens the architecture and brings an organic vibration that balances the geometry of the space.
The work captures that exact moment when light enters uninvited, transforming the everyday into something almost ceremonial. It is a painting about stillness, about heat that does not weigh, about the simple beauty of sitting in the shade while the day slowly progresses on the other side of the open doors.
