Cette estampe, créée pendant la guerre d'Irak, propose une alternative au slogan pacifiste populaire des années 1960 : « Faites l'amour, pas la guerre ». Fairey y affirme la nécessité d'actes créatifs plutôt que destructeurs. Le style Art nouveau de l'image fait également référence à l'influence de ce mouvement sur l'art hippie et psychédélique des années 1960, notamment sur de nombreuses affiches contre la guerre du Vietnam.

Entourée d'une guirlande de fleurs, la figure féminine paraît plus sûre d'elle et plus réelle qu'éthérée. La présence de deux pinceaux sous son portrait évoque non seulement un outil classique de la création artistique, mais aussi des lances, ce qui, associé à l'injonction « OBÉIR » inscrite sur son cou, confère au message, par ailleurs anodin, une dimension plus incisive.
