Drago - Lighter - Metal

A rare collectible piece: a lift-arm lighter (pivoting arm), made by the famous Drago Paris house. This is not just a smoking accessory, but an authentic protocol object, bearing the insignia of the 29th Mountain Infantry Battalion (29e Bataillon de Chasseurs à Pied). Certain Historical Dating: Stamped at the base with the historic address "43, rue Olivier Métra - Paris / Nice," this lighter was manufactured during the golden period of the Drago workshop, between 1946 and 1951. It is a witness piece of the Indochina War era. High-Class Design: The case features a refined guilloché finish (engraved geometric pattern), which reflects light in a spectacular way. The unit's emblem – the hunting horn with the number 29 – is applied with remarkable precision, characteristic of Drago's jewelers. Unlike most pieces of this age found in attics, this lighter is FULLY FUNCTIONAL. The pivoting mechanism is smooth, and the wheel produces a strong spark. Models with the full address on Rue Olivier Métra are much more sought after by collectors than later versions, being considered the "elite series" of the brand. Marking: Drago Paris - 43, rue O. Métra. Mechanism: Gas, lift-arm type. Condition: Authentic vintage, very well maintained, without major dents. Ideal for: Collectors of luxury lighters (S.T. Dupont, Dunhill, Drago). Enthusiasts of military history and French insignia. A distinguished gift for someone who appreciates objects with "soul" and story. The lighter comes with an alpaca case from the same period, which was used together with that lighter
