Description from the seller

Decorative lidded ceramic jar, made by Real Cerâmica Coimbra in Coimbra, Portugal. The piece is fully hand-painted and stylistically oriented toward 17th-century European faience (“Sec. XVII”), particularly Dutch and Baroque models.

The jar features a finely worked decoration with floral motifs, stylized plants, and animal representations (stag and bird). The painting is done in vivid colors with clear lines and detailed execution. The lid harmoniously echoes the decoration and is finished with a central knob.

On the underside there are handwritten notes with the manufacturer designation, origin (“Coimbra”), note on hand painting (“Hand Painted”), model number “135/2,” and “Made in Portugal.” The signature “Lurdes” presumably refers to the decorative painter who executed the piece.

Typical for this workshop is the combination of traditional motifs with artisanal crafting, giving each piece its own character.

The ceramic has no chips or cracks.

The merchandise is wrapped in padding foil and encased in bio-based Styrofoam within a double-walled carton, shipped via DHL.
