Dutch Design Table Lamp, KMD Tiel, 1950s A striking Dutch Daalderop table lamp from the 1950s, marked KMD Tiel, Koninklijke Metaalwarenfabriek Daalderop, a Dutch maker known for its metalware and pewter. The lamp has a very elegant shape. The conical body is executed in pewter and has a tightly banded central section wrapped in closely set dark rubber rings. The composition is simple, but not plain. It has that bit of extra and is decidedly modernist. The lamp has been rewired and is ready for use. The custom made shade is included and complements the base beautifully, sharpening the lamp’s outline. A refined piece for a desk, side table, or bedside setting, especially in an interior that appreciates disciplined form over noise. Condition In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. There are two dents in the base, very hard to photograph but you can feel them when in hand. The shade was custom made. Rewired and ready for use.
