Plates partially discolored at the edges and back, the board titled "Table Prayer" for the text on page 24 may be missing.
Publisher's text:
Franz von Defregger and Peter Rosegger — these names stand for masterful depictions of the homeland of the Alps and rural life. One as a painter and the other as a writer, both hold artistically regarded values such as homeland, customs, and tradition, and bring the life and thoughts of simple rural people into art, making them understandable to an urban audience.
In the poet’s stories about the painter’s finest pictures you feel the harmony of the enchanted mountain world from which both originate.
