Original lithograph on vellum paper, 56 x 70 cm (image area, large format!). Signed in pencil by the artist and numbered as EA (artist's proof).
Work in good condition, never framed. Slight corner mark (bottom left).

Biography: Claude Gaveau is a French painter known for his nudes and still-life compositions. Born in 1940 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, he created his first oils in adolescence in 1953. An artistic anecdote: his grandfather created the orchards of the Jardin des Plantes in Paris.
Two years later he entered the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris, where he would study for five years. In the prestigious school, he studied numerous artistic disciplines such as oil painting, fresco, mural art, and the art of stained glass.
