Mario Botta, Artifici, 1994, an original aquaforte signed by the artist and dated, in a limited edition of 100 (this is 97/100), sheet 46 x 35 cm with a 23 x 23 cm plate, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Mario Botta – Original etching (e.g. 97/100)
Signed, dated and kept in a folder.
Paper size 46x35
Plate size 23x23
This original etching by Mario Botta, internationally renowned architect, represents a rare and precious testament to his design vision transposed into the language of graphic art. The work, dated December 1994 and signed by the author, is titled "X Artificio", and is part of a limited edition of 100 numbered copies (this is number 97/100).
Created with a decisive, sharp and architectural mark, the image shows a geometric and dynamic composition, recalling recognizable elements of Botta's poetics: essential volumes, rational structures, spaces strongly defined. The building at the center, enclosed between lines that cross and overlap, seems to emerge as a mental construction, more than physical, highlighting the continuity between drawing and project, between idea and space.
The work is printed with great quality, on fine art paper, and kept in a publisher’s folder. An object destined for collectors, architects and enthusiasts of contemporary graphics.
Shipped, packaged securely, within 5 days of the award.
