Description from the seller
Wedgwood Jasperware Jar with Lid – 20th Century
Refined Jasperware jar with lid by Wedgwood from the 20th century, expression of the famed English ceramic tradition, appreciated internationally for its elegance, quality and distinctive style.
Made in biscuit, it features the iconic white relief decorations on a green background, with neoclassical-inspired motifs finely molded. The reliefs are sharp, harmonious and well proportioned, with a cameo-like effect typical of Wedgwood production, capable of imparting depth and great refinement to the whole.
The balanced form and the presence of the lid make it a complete object and décoratively very effective, ideal both as a collectible item and as a refined container.
The dimensions are approximately 11 x 8.8 cm, ideal proportions to be highlighted in a variety of furnishing contexts.
The condition is very good; no significant defects are reported, and the object retains excellent overall aesthetic performance, with clean surfaces and well-preserved reliefs.
A timeless classic of Wedgwood craftsmanship, able to engage with elegant environments, bookcases, display cabinets or consoles, but also to create a refined contrast in contemporary spaces.
Interior design tips
Perfect on a bookshelf alongside bound volumes, on a console or inside a display cabinet; also ideal in combination with other biscuit or neoclassical ceramics to create striking arrangements.
