A faience plate with a lively and dynamic polychrome enamelled decoration, known as “aux drapeaux” (with flags), testifying to the enthusiasm with which the accession of Louis XVI was welcomed.
In the center, beneath the imposing crown, a shield with three fleurs-de-lys surrounded by spears and flags, above musical instruments and cannonballs.
Nevers, late 18th century.
Dimensions: diameter 22.5 cm.
Very good overall condition, vivid colours, minor nicks.

Assiette en faïence à vif et mouvementé décor émaillé polychrome dit "aux drapeaux", témoignant de l'enthousiasme qui accueillit l'avènement de Louis XVI.  
Au centre, sous l'imposante couronne, un écusson à trois fleurs de lys entouré de piques et de drapeaux, surmontant les instruments de musique et les boulets de canon.  
Nevers, fin du XVIIIe siècle.  
Dimensions : diamètre 22,5 cm.  
Très bon état général, couleurs vives, égrenures mineures.
