Description from the seller
A very decorative and characterful antique candelabrum in the form of a richly dressed page or cavalier in historical costume. This type of sculpture, often referred to as a torchère figure, bears witness to the romantic interest in the Renaissance and the Middle Ages at the end of the 19th century.
The figure is meticulously executed, from the folds in his clothing to the expression on his face. He holds a long staff that ends in a candle holder with an elegant leaf motif (acanthus leaves). The base is richly decorated with floral motifs and provides a stable foundation.
31 x 13 x 13 cm and 1600 Gram.
The candelabrum is carefully packaged and shipped worldwide.
