Description from the seller

Rare Concert Mandolin Ginanni & Kasermann (1945)
High Italian Luthiery – 32-belt Maple Back – Excellent Condition
Origin: Private collection (family inheritance).

History and Manufacture
We propose at auction a superb specimen of the classic Italian mandolin, artisan work of the renowned Ginanni & Kasermann workshop, dated 1945. This instrument represents a perfect blend of period aesthetics and acoustic engineering, produced in a historical period when wood selection and meticulous detail were at the highest levels of lutherie tradition.

Technical Characteristics and Materials
The instrument was designed for concert activity, as evidenced by its premium specifications:

The Hull (Back): Made with extraordinary 32-stripe craftsmanship in precious maple. The abundant presence of slats is a testament to high-quality construction, typical of professional instruments, guaranteeing superior resonance and exceptional sound projection.
The Fingerboard: Concert version with full extension, enriched by refined authentic mother-of-pearl position markers.
Aesthetic Details: The pickguard features an artistic design of great elegance, with inlays recalling tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl (vintage materials of excellent workmanship). The accompanying palm rest completes the instrument’s harmonious aesthetics.
Wood Selection: Top made from select spruce and body in maple, a perfect pairing for a bright, balanced sound rich in harmonics.

Condition and Playability
The mandolin is presented in extraordinary condition for its age:

Tuners: Original and perfectly functioning, they hold tuning without signs of slippage.
Playability: The instrument is ready to play. The action is correct and the structure is solid. To maximize sound quality, the buyer is advised to replace the strings, which have been idle for some time.
Tone: The sound is described as harmonious, full, and with excellent projection, ideal for classical and baroque repertoire.

Shipping and Packing
Given the fragility and historical importance of the item, the mandolin will be shipped in reinforced secure packaging specifically designed for musical instruments. Shipping will be via international express courier with full value insurance and continuous tracking.

Why invest in this Mandolin?
Ginanni & Kasermann mandolins are sought-after pieces in the quality vintage market. The combination of year of production (1945), the prestigious 32-stripe workmanship, and structural integrity make this lot a rare opportunity for both art investors (Asian/European) and discerning musicians.
