Chinese milky white and russet mutton fat nephrite jade pendant –China- end of 20th Century

On offer is a beautiful rectangular thick pendant made in the Chinese taste. This “open work” pendant is carved in the Archaic style. The pendant is carved of Chinese milky-white mutton fat nephrite jade with some subtle russet tones. It has a carving of a chilong on top, a dragon in the middle and double happiness character carvings below. Mutton fat jades are difficult to find! Comes with hanging cord.

Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: This jade comes from inland China. A good jade, very suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! Please see test results and pictures.
