Chinese white nephrite jade pendant Foo dog with brocade ball –China- 20th Century
On offer is a Chinese pendant made of white semi-translucent nephrite jade. It has a thick carved depiction of a walking foo dog with brocade ball. At the other side a Chinese poem consisting of 18 characters. Around the carved image and poem a finely worked border carved in Archaic style. High quality pendant made of white jade without impurities!
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: Obtained from inland China. a Valuable and rare jade, very suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! Please see test results and pictures.
