Sculpture, Constructivist Sculpture - 65 cm - Oak

A constructivist wooden sculpture with a cantilevered design. The artist is unknown. The oak panels and parts of furniture that were used to construct this unusual piece is certainly from the 1920s but we haven't been able to date the sculpture with certainty. It could be 1920s to 1950s It's large, great for styling with its interesting asymmetrical design. There are no visible screws - there is a pen/hole joint visible underneath. The piece is completely stable and sturdy while seen from some angles, it looks like it's about to fall over but it stands very firm. It's a well thought through and well executed design which suggests that it was most probably made by a professional. The artist was certainly inspired by Haagse School, De Stijl, constructivism and modernism.
