Art Deco bronze-silvered bookends on a marble terrace. Period 1925-30.
Each bookend depicts a kneeling young woman in a protective pose facing a young fawn.
The two pieces are mirror images, which allows them to frame a row of books perfectly.
The Art Deco style is clearly recognizable, with clean lines and the young woman’s hairstyle “bobbed cut” typical of the Roaring Twenties 1920-1930.
Excellent condition (small chips on the terrace, see the last photograph).

Serre-livres Art Déco en bronze argenté sur une terrasse en marbre . Époque 1925-30.
Chaque serre-livre représente une jeune femme agenouillée dans une posture protectrice faisant face 
à un jeune faon. 
Les deux pièces sont en miroir ce qui permet d’encadrer parfaitement une rangée de livres.
On reconnais parfaitement le style Art Déco, lignes épurées et à la coiffure de la jeune femme «  coupe à la 
garçonne » typique des années folles 1920-1930.
Excellent état ( petits éclats sur une terrasse, voir la dernière photographie).
